The Sims 3 Coming in 2009!

I've abandoned you guys...
For the bad stuff first:
1. Some people in my job feel as if I'm supposed to know everything about everyone at every time. Apparently, I'm supposed to know if the PM's go to the bathroom and blow a nice big fart. Let me just put a chip on all of them so that I may find them at every moment of the day. Not only am I supposed to know where the PM's are, but I'm also supposed to know every last PO that has been done with 5 different jobs. W/E!!! Give me a freakin break and get off my case. OK...I feel so much better.
2. So we were looking at the survey for our home because we want to put a fence up and we realized that the person who sold us our home totally misled us. When we were going to buy the house they told us that our backyard went all the way to the "common area", but in reality its only ten feet from the patio. Totally not cool! So, we are now in the process of taking care of that.
Now for some other funny random things:
1. This weekend we went to a little baby's 1st birthday party. It was a lot of fun except for one small annoyance. The dreaded balloon with the little music inside of it. Unfortunately it had to be a windy day and the freakin thing kept going off every second! I even started singing Happy Birthday to the beat the balloon had. Toward the end it started running out of battery, but then the thing sounded scary as hell. Oh well, overall we had a great time.
2. I've totally been rocking out on the Rock Band drums. I'm getting better every day! Totally loving it. About two weeks or so ago two friends of mine came over and were playing. One of them was totally missing the beat and it didn't help when we could hardly breathe from all the laughing. It was so funny! I wish I had video taped it.
So I guess that's it for now. I will hopefully write more tomorrow.

Recap of American Idol...
Oh dear, now for Jason Castro. Lately he just hasn't been cutting it for me, and last night was no exception. He is seriously picking songs that don't suit him. If you can get through a few seconds of the video, then you will see what I mean.
We'll see who will be kicked out tonight, but I'm pretty sure it's a toss up between Brooke and Jason. Hopefully it will be Brooke, since she's getting on my nerves already. Oh well.

I hope that many of you took the time to read through and check out some of the links I posted. Everyone should also check out the Google (http://www.google.com/) logo. I was listening to Y-100, which I listen to every morning, and they were talking about it. Google is definitely creative when it comes to their logo.
If you guys want to donate or just check out some things for today go here: http://ww2.earthday.net/.
I will now leave you with a funny joke and I will be updating you guys tomorrow on Dancing with the Stars and American Idol.
KFC: Our Daily Chicken
A salesman from KFC walked up to the Pope and offers him a million dollars if he would change "The Lord's Prayer" from "give us this day our daily bread" to "give us this day our daily chicken." The Pope refused his offer. Two weeks later, the man offered the pope 10 million dollars to change it from "give us this day our daily bread" to "give us this day our daily chicken" and again the Pope refused the man's generous offer. Another week later, the man offered the Pope 20 million dollars and finally the Pope accepted. The following day, the Pope said to all his officials, "I have some good news and some bad news. 'The good news is, that we have just received a check for 20 million dollars. The bad news is, we lost the Wonder Bread account!''

Other Ways to help the world!

Another link you may go to where you just have to click to help other causes is http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/clickToGive/home.faces?siteId=3&ThirdPartyClicks=ERA_041808_ARS. If click here you will notice it's the animal rescue site, but if you look at the top you also have Hunger, Breast Cancer, Child Health, Literacy and the Rainforest. Also, you may buy gifts and with every purchase, you are contributing for the cause. For example, on the animal rescue site you are providing a certain amount of food per purchase. Also, you may receive a reminder everyday to click. I totally do this, sometimes though, I don't check my email so I click like 10 times in a day. :)
Helping the world one bottle at a time...

So yesterday I went to their site and this is what I found out about their product (http://www.mysigg.com/index.asp?PageAction=COMPANY):
SIGG: The Product
SIGG, "The Original Swiss Bottle", is recognized world-wide for Swiss quality and craftsmanship that comes with nearly 100 years of heritage and experience. Produced from a single component that is seamless and has no comparable weak points, SIGG bottles are tremendously durable and virtually unbreakable. In June 2006, Backpacker magazine conducted a relentless field test of leading water bottles brands. With the services of a 100 pound cannon packed with golf balls, they were able to destroy all of the targeted bottles – except one! Following the bottle barrage, they dubbed SIGG "The World's Toughest Water Bottle."
As tough as they are on the outside, it's the inside of SIGG bottles that make them so special. Due to SIGG's special, proprietary internal coating, these high-tech bottles are resistant to fruit juice acids, energy drinks, alcohol and virtually any consumable beverage. Because the liners are taste and scent neutral, you can enjoy any beverage you'd like – without any lingering smell or taste of the last beverage you drank. The composition of the liner also reduces the chances of bacteria build-up. And because the liner is virtually baked into the inner walls of the bottle, it will not flake or chip even if dented on the outside.
Recently, there has been a lot of press concerning Lexan plastic water bottles (Polycarbonate #7) leaching harmful chemicals into the container's ingredients. It's extremely important to note that SIGG bottles exceed FDA requirements and have been thoroughly tested to ensure 0.0% leaching – so they are 100% safe.
Combining function and fashion, SIGG bottles come in over 100 unique, eye-catching designs. Utilizing 30 independent artists from around the world, SIGG Switzerland introduces new, cutting edge styles every year. And the leak-proof caps are interchangeable creating over 1,000 possible combinations – so you can find the SIGG that meets your needs and expresses your personality.
SIGG bottles are manufactured in an ecologically-friendly environment and are 100% recyclable after their very long lives. In fact, most SIGGs in Europe are still being used 10-20 years after purchase.
You may buy this product on their site or even on Amazon.com. Don't forget to buy the cleaning brush as well, so as not too mess up your bottle. It's a purchase you will have for a lifetime. Here are a few more styles that I found on Amazon.

Today's Jokes...
Girl Power!
A little boy is playing with his new football and a little girl asks if she can play. He tells her, "No. These are for boys." The little girl runs into the house and tells her mother. The next day the girl sticks her tongue out at the boy and waves her new football in his face. The little boy angrily points to his boy's bike and says, "Oh yeah? Well, only boys can get these!" But the next day, the little girl has the same bike. The little boy gets furious, pulls down his pants, points to his unit, and says, "Look, only boys have these and your mom can't buy you one!" The next day he walks by and the little girl promptly pulls up her dress, points to her bits, and proclaims, "My mother tells me that as long as I have one of these, I can have as many of those as I want."
Boy & His Mom
A boy told his mom, "I couldn't sleep last night so I went into your room. Why were you jumping up and down on daddy?" His mom said, "Well dear, I was pushing the air out of him." The boy replied, "Oh then you're wasting your time. The lady next door blows him back up every day."

Just a few jokes to make you laugh...
A Child's Prayer
One night, a father passed by his son's room and heard his son praying: "God bless Mommy, Daddy, and Grandma. Ta ta, Grandpa." The father didn't quite know what this meant, but was glad his son was praying. The next morning, they found Grandpa dead on the floor of a heart attack. The father reassured himself that it was just a coincidence, but was still a bit spooked. The next night, he heard his son praying again: "God bless Mommy and Daddy. Ta ta, Grandma." The father was worried, but decided to wait until morning. Sure enough, the next morning Grandma was on the floor, dead of a heart attack. Really scared now, the father decided to wait outside his son's door the next night. And sure enough, the boy started to pray: "God bless Mommy. Ta ta, Daddy." Now the father was crapping his pants. He stayed up all night, and went to the doctor's early the next day to make sure his health was fine. When he finally came home, his wife was waiting on the porch. She said, "Thank God you're here -- we could really use your help! We found milkman dead on our porch this morning!"
The Stupid Nomad
A man is riding aimlessly through the desert on a donkey. He is not hungry or thirsty, because he has a bottomless bowl of fruit. He wanders for about a week and eventually gets pretty horny. He gets to the point where he can''t stand it anymore. So he decides to try and have sex with the donkey. He drops his pants and positions himself under the donkey. But, to his dismay, the donkey walks away. Only slightly discouraged, the man decides to try again. He walks to where the donkey is standing, positions himself under the donkey, and right before he goes for it, the donkey walks away again. Now the man is getting frustrated. As he prepares for his third and final try, he sees a vision. A beautiful, naked woman appears out of nowhere. She approaches the stunned man, who until recently, believed that he was the only person for hundreds of miles. She smiles at him and says, ''''I would do anything for that bowl of fruit you have." ''''Anything?'''' he says, getting fairly excited. ''''Yes, anything.'''' she replies. So he says, ''''Will you hold the donkey!?''''
Dog w/o Wheels
Where do you find a dog with no legs?Where you left it.
Where did all the Passion go?
Some of it was actually pretty good. I could tell right away where my high point of passion was, since those poems were my best ones. The later ones weren't that great, but I guess I wasn't as focused and intent on what I wanted. Maybe I just lost the touch on the greatness of what poetry could accomplish.
I realized as you get older, your priorities change and maybe some of that passionate feeling goes in a different direction.
Right now I'm not really sure where I have it bottled up, but I'm guessing it will come back with a force once I find something I really want to be passionate about. Once that time comes, I will be sure to let all of you know what triggered it.
If you want to share some of your stories, please do. I will be excited to see the different things all of you are passionate for.

What's with September?

- Hadn't written a post since September 2, 2005
- My Father-in-law passed away - September 8, 2005
- I started a new job - September 5, 2006
- We signed all our papers for our new home - September 7 or 9, 2007 (can't remember exactly the date, but definitely one of those.)
So do you see the progression. That got me thinking about what other fantastic things have happened in the world in that month. Also, I wanted to know what does the month mean. Is there any symbolic meaning? Here are my findings (Thank you Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September):
- September is the ninth month of the year in the Gregorian Calendar and one of four Gregorian months with 30 days. September begins in western astrology with the sun in the sign of Virgo and ends in the sign of Libra. Astronomically speaking, the sun actually begins in the constellation of Leo and ends in the constellation of Virgo. In Latin, septem means "seven" and septimus means "seventh"; September was in fact the seventh month of the Roman calendar until 153 BC, when there was a calendar reform from the month of the Ides of March to the Kalends, or January 1.[1]
September marks the beginning of the ecclesiastical year in the Eastern Orthodox Church.[citation needed] September begins on the same day of the week as December every year, due to the fact that there are 91 days separating September and December, which is a multiple of seven (the amount of days in the week). September is Library Card Sign-Up Month in the United States.[2] - Events in September
1. It is the start of the academic year in many countries.
2. On the first Sunday of September, the regata storica parade is staged in Venice, as prelude to the rowing contests known as regattas.
3. Labor Day (Labour Day in Canada) is observed on the first Monday in September in the United States.
4. In India, Teachers' Day is celebrated on September 5. The date is the birthday of the second President of India, academic philosopher Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
5. In Japan, Respect for the Aged Day is a national holiday celebrated on the third Monday of September. Autumnal Equinox Day is also a national holiday.
6. In the United States, Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 to October 15.[3]
7. Peter Brock and Steve Irwin, two prominent Australians, both died in September.
8. In Mexico, Independence Day is celebrated September 16.[4]
9. In Saint Kitts and Nevis, National Heroes' Day is celebrated September 16.[5]
10. In Saint Kitts and Nevis, Independence Day is celebrated September 19.[6]
11. National Grandparents' Day takes place on the first Sunday after Labor Day in the United States and Canada [7].
12. In the United States, September 11 is Patriot Day, in remembrance of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.[8][9]
13. In the Netherlands the third Tuesday in September is known as prinsjesdag. The government presents its annual budget. The queen rides to the parliament in a gilded coach and reads the plans for the coming year to the States-general.
14. The equinox named the autumnal equinox in the northern hemisphere and the vernal or spring equinox in the southern hemisphere occurs on dates varying from 21 September to 24 September (in UTC). In the pagan wheel of the year the spring equinox is the time of Ostara and the autumn equinox is that of Mabon.
15. In KwaZulu-Natal, king Shaka is commemorated on the last Sunday of September.
16. Counterintuitively, the German Oktoberfest and the Chinese August Moon festival (more correctly called the Mid-Autumn Festival) both occur in September.
17. In New Zealand , Father's Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of September. - 18. In Australia, Father's Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of September.
19. In Australia, the Rugby League Grand Final is played on the last Sunday of September.
20. In Australia, the AFL Grand Final is played on the last Saturday of September.
21. September 1 is celebrated as the beginning of Eritrea's 30 year armed struggle for independence from Ethiopia, which began in September of 1961 and ended in May of 1991. - Miscellanea
1. In 1752, the British Empire adopted the Gregorian calendar. In the British Empire that year, September 2 was immediately followed by September 14.
2. On Usenet, it is said that September 1993 (Eternal September) never ended.
3. September in the Northern Hemisphere is the seasonal equivalent to March in the Southern Hemisphere and vice versa. - Symbols
1. September's birthstone is the sapphire.
2. September's flower is the aster or morning glory.
So I hope this was enlightening...

Summary Since Sept. 2005

I know it's been a long while since I've been on here. I can't believe so much time has passed. Well...a lot has changed since the last time I posted something. I can honestly say that I've accomplished much since then. I will now list my great achievements:
- I got married, but it wasn't easy. This is a long story...but I'll give you the short version. On Sept. 8, just a few days after my last post, my father-in-law passed away. Trust me, it was hard to see him go, but it was totally to his benefit that he did. He was in a lot of pain and was suffering way too much. So, if you remember, I was going to get married at that time and my wedding shower was actually going to be, I believe, the next weekend after he passed, so that got postponed. This is the first of the craziness that was that year. Let's just say that wasn't the first phone call I made to my guests to reschedule. Well the party was great, everyone had a great time and I had a great time as well.
- Now for the wedding. On October 24, 2005, Hurricane Wilma decided to join us here in Florida and my wedding was the same week, which was on Saturday, October 29th. Yeah, well, that freakin' hurricane almost ruined my wedding. We basically had to plan the whole wedding over again, minus my wedding dress, the bridesmaids dresses and the tuxes. Everything else was with the banquet hall, but of course they didn't have power so it was cancelled. Needless to say, we almost lost the Church, but my mother was able to beg them not to cancel the wedding. This was the second phone call I made, which was to let everyone know it was going to be an earlier wedding. So we got lucky that in my husbands parents house, the electricity came on that Wednesday (whew!) and also, we were lucky that his sister's friends had party equipment and a DJ. So, basically we found a florist that was open and we found a food place that was open. We also had a contact for the car and I got the Rolls Royce!!!! So nice! Well, rehearsals were on a Thursday night and let's just say I had a nervous breakdown (literally)...that was not fun, but I did get to lose those last 5 pounds, since I didn't have much of an appetite. So our wedding came out super (it was literally 12 hours long)...I loved every minute of it, and people are still talking about how it was the best wedding they have been to. Our honeymoon was in Kauai, Hawaii and it was beautiful. Although the first thing I did when I got there was pass out on the couch (it was a very comfortable couch!). OK...so that's the story in a nutshell, now on to better things.
- After that I got a new car (Honda Accord - 2006)...bought it on Nov 23, 2005. That was exciting! Still love my car!
- We bought land in Arkansas in Feb. 2006. We also bought some timeshare that same year in the summer.
- Let's see, well Sept of 2006 I got another job, which I am currently still in. I am a Project Assistant and I really like my job. I've met a lot of great people and have made some really special friends. I'm very glad to be able to have met them.
- So, the next huge milestone was that I finally have my home. On the downside, I still don't live in it. We bought a home in Ft. Pierce and I really love it there. For now, we just go on the weekends. It's our getaway home.
- I've also travelled a lot since getting married, we have been on a road trip to Kansas City, Missouri. We've been to Las Vegas, NV; Williamsburg,VA; Pigeon Forge, TN; Atlanta, GA and probably many more that I haven't mentioned. I can't wait for October. We are planning a trip to see a Fall (I've never seen a real Fall).
So as you can see it's been busy since Sept. 2005. A lot of sad and happy things have happened and I've grown along the way. I'm hoping that I will continue to keep writing. I got re-inspired to write, since one of my friends has a blog (http://www.thepompomist.com/). You guys should check it out. I will now be posting some interesting things and I can't wait till tomorrow to continue telling you guys about travelling or any funny or interesting things I come across. Hopefully, I will have some great pictures too. I need to get them together. Here is one from my beautiful wedding pictures (Notice the work that was put into that pool and how clean the backyard was. That was all my husband, his brother and the pool guys. Thank you gentlemen). Also, that food was delicious! Alright guys, so I want to say goodnight and I'll be writing more tomorrow, so check back.
