A Dedication to Princess (aka Gorda)

Last night was a horrible night for my husband and I. We had to make a decision whether we should put our most thoughtful and loving companion to sleep or to try to help her survive. We decided that she had been through enough and that she should rest. So I wanted to dedicate this entry to our dog Princess.

Gordie, we will miss you always. We know that you are in a better place now and we want you to know that we will remember you always. We Love You Gorda. Muah!!!!

The picture above was Christmas last year. She would have been 12 years old in December.

The picture below was taken on 7/16/07.

A day at the beach...

So, I wanted to share with you guys what it's like to go to the beach in Fort Pierce.

About two weeks ago my husband and I went to the beach on a Monday, since we both got that day off, and as soon as we stepped onto the sand from the parking lot, we noticed that we pretty much had the beach to ourselves. It was amazing. A while later we saw some people bring their horses out and they started dragging them into the ocean. At first I thought it was mean, since the currents were pretty strong, but then I found it interesting. It was pretty amazing how at first they were freaking out, but then they calmed down and really started to enjoy it. Not much else was going on, so it was nice to see that.

This past weekend we went again and there must have been less than 30 people there. Truly, I do enjoy going to the beach there and I can't wait to go back. I really want to move there already! Oh well.

Book Review: Undead and Unworthy by MaryJanice Davidson

Sometime in the past 2 weeks I finished reading Undead and Unworthy, the seventh book from the Queen Betsy Series written by MaryJanice Davidson. This book was a bit different from the last few books. It seems that Betsy is kicking a little more ass and she is changing along with it. Davidson has also killed off some characters, which to me was a disappointment, but I guess better things are yet to come. So until I find out more about where this series is going, I would say this is a good book and you should check it out.

Please read the following synopsis for the book:
Having recently lost her dad and step-mother, Betsy Sinclair (nee Taylor) is adjusting to rather more than just married life. Their untimely deaths have left her and Sinclair as sole guardians of her little brother, Jon. Two vampire parents - albeit vampire royalty - for a decidedly human baby. But then the ghost of Betsy's step-mother turns up at their house. And as stubborn and insufferable as she was in life, she's even more annoying in death...

Not sure what her next book is, but I will have to wait patiently until it comes out. If you want a list of her books, go here http://www.amazon.com/gp/series/92826/ref=pd_serl_books?ie=UTF8&edition=paperback. If you want to know more about the author, check out her website here http://www.maryjanicedavidson.net/. Until the next book...

I know, I know...

I know I've been slacking lately, please forgive me. I will be writing a new post in about 5 minutes. Here we go...
