Book Review: Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer

Oh man...talk about a book you can't put down. Breaking Dawn was in one word: INCREDIBLE. Maybe I'm being bias, but this book was the perfect end to a great saga. I'm glad Meyer left it pretty open, in case she ever wants to write about Edward and Bella again.
This book took some surprising and unexpected turns. It was like the ending of an X-Men movie. So intense was the writing of Meyer for this one. I also felt as if she wrote for an adult audience as much as a young adult.

As I've said before, pick up this series. It's a great add for anyone's book collection.
Synopsis from inside cover
To be irrevocably in love with a vampire is both a fantasy and a nightmare woven into a dangerously heightened reality for Bella Swan. Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another by her profound connection to werewolf Jacob Black, she has endured a tumultuous year of temptation, loss and strife to reach the ultimate turning point. Her imminent choice, to either join the dark but seductive world of immortals or pursue a fully human life, has become the thread from which the fate of two tribes hangs.
Now that Bella has made her decision, a startling chain of unprecedented events is about to unfold with potentially devastating and unfathomable consequences. Just when the frayed strands of Bella’s life – first discovered in Twilight, then scattered and torn in New Moon and Eclipse – seem ready to heal and knit together, could they be destroyed… forever?

Book Review: Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer

So once again we have the never ending love between Edward and Bella, but now there is a twist. Jacob has become someone very dear in Bella's life as well.
We all know what Jacob is now and the tension between his and Edward's family. We are also bringing back the terror that follows Bella, which shall remain unnamed.
Trust me when I say...Pick Up this Series...I promise you will not be disappointed. There is drama, love, action, pretty much a little bit of everything. Meyer did it again. A++++++.
Synopsis from inside cover
Edward’s soft voice came from behind me. I turned to see him spring lightly up the porch steps, his hair windblown from running. He pulled me into his arms at once, just like he had in the parking lot, and kissed me again. This kiss frightened me. There was too much tension, too strong an edge to the way his lips crushed mine–like he was afraid we had only so much time left to us. As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob–knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death. But which is which?

I promise I haven't forgotten...

Hi guys...I promise that I have not forgotten about writing. I've just been a bit lazy, but now I will be writing to tell you about the last two books of the Twilight Series!!!!

Book Review: New Moon by Stephenie Meyer

Alright, so I totally fell in love with Bella and Edward in Twilight, but this book dragged a bit for me. I don't know if Meyer wanted us to feel the frustrations of Bella in this book, but I totally felt that way. It wasn't until a few chapters rolled by that I really started enjoying the book. She did introduce Jacob into Bella's life, which was very interesting. They are developing a great friendship and trust ,which I find very cute. Being that Bella is such a klutz, she turned into quite the daredevil too. It was a good introduction to all the crazy things that will probably be coming up in the future books. So let's see how this turns out.

Synopsis
Bella has been going out with her vampire boyfriend Edward for six blissfully happy months. The only thing that worries her is his steadfast refusal to even consider making her into a vampire like him. As the day of her eighteenth birthday rolls around she feels less than happy because she is now older than Edward, who will never age past seventeen.
To celebrate her birthday Edward takes Bella to a birthday party at his family home but when a stupid accident that leaves Bella covered in blood and nearly triggers a feeding frenzy in Jasper, Edward’s brother, the party falls somewhat flat.
Edward suddenly becomes more distant towards to Bella and finally he tells her that he and his family are leaving Forks, to never return, and he no longer wants to see her.
Edward is Bella’s whole world and his abandonment is a harsh blow. Her whole world falls apart and as she becomes withdrawn from the world she soon loses most of her friends becoming even more isolated and lonely.
When she does something dangerous she starts hallucinating and thinks she can hear Edward telling her not to do anything stupid and to be more careful. This leads to a whole new range of interests for Bella including learning to ride a motorbike and cliff diving because she feels that he is still with her at those times. Her old friend Jacob Black becomes her partner in crime, fixing up her motorbike for her and teaching her to ride it. Although the pain of Edward’s departure never leaves Bella, Jacob soon becomes her best friend and he helps to fill some of the voids in her life.
Jacob himself is no ordinary boy and soon Bella discovers that part of his Quileute heritage is to be cursed to be a werewolf. Certain members of the tribe turn into werewolves in their teenage years in response to the presence of vampires. Werewolves and vampires are natural enemies and the enmity runs deep on both sides.
Alice returns to Forks and although she brings no news of Edward with her, her extraordinary gift of being able to see the future soon tells her that Edward is heading on a path of self destruction that only Bella can advert. But will Bella be in time to stop the tragedy?

Book Review: Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

One day I was listening to Y100 and they were talking about this book and how good it was when they read it, so of course I picked it up. Trust me, I was not disappointed, especially when I found out it was a series book and I completely love a good series.
Stephenie Meyer really changed up the way vampires are viewed by giving them different characteristics than the ones that we are used to. There is so much passion and love in this book and I really enjoyed reading it. Never mind that this book was written for High School students, adults can definitely enjoy it too.

So if you're into Vampires by all means pick this book up. Even if you're not into them, you should still pick this book up. And guess what? They are making a movie for this book and it will be coming out this November. So if you like to read books before watching a movie about them (e.g. Harry Potter), I would suggest you get a move on.

Synopsis
When seventeen year-old Bella Swan leaves sunny Arizona to live with her father in the small and gloomy Pacific North-West town of Forks she doesn’t expect to like it. After all she has made excuses not to go there enough times over the past few years. If living in Forks, with its constant mist and rain, wasn’t bad enough she will have to make a whole new set of friends and settle into a new school.
Bella soon makes some new friends at school but when she sees a boy called Edward Cullen sitting with his brothers and sisters in the cafeteria she is instantly intrigued. Edward is stunningly attractive, almost inhumanly beautiful, and yet he is an outsider too. Although Edward and his family have lived in Forks for two years they have never really been accepted by the townsfolk.
At first Edward is aloof, sometimes it almost seems like he can’t stand to be in the same room as her, but eventually they strike up an unlikely friendship. Even as Bella falls hopelessly and irrevocably in love with Edward, she still can’t work out exactly what makes him so different to everyone else.
On a trip to the beach, Bella is told of the local legend about the “cold ones”, a group of blood drinkers who have sworn off hunting humans but are still not welcome on Indian land because vampires are not to be trusted. Realising Edward is vampire changes nothing for Bella, she knows that she still loves him even if he’s not human.
Edward and his whole family are vampires. Edward himself was made a vampire when he was seventeen years-old, although that was at the end of World War I. For Edward his love for Bella is both a delight and a torment. A delight because she is the first person he has loved since he was made a vampire. A torment because although he has sworn off human blood and only hunts animals the craving for human blood never truly leaves him and the very scent of her also stirs his hunger for blood…. I have neglected you guys!!!!

So sorry to have neglected everyone, but I will try to be better. I have two new posts coming up so here we go!

Book Review: Playing with Boys: A Novel by Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez

When I went on vacation to TN we stopped by a Dollar Tree and I found this book called Playing with Boys: A Novel by Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez. It was actually a pretty good book. I really enjoyed the fact that it wasn't raunchy and that it was a thought out book. It was pretty PG-13 and I believe it represents the Latin race pretty well. I will definitely be checking out any further books Valdes-Rodriguez will be writing.

Synopsis
From the author of The Dirty Girls Social Club comes another fast, funny, soulful, and sexy novel about friendship and love amid Latinas. It's a jungle out there—in Los Angeles, that is, where the tangle of freeways and ingrained insincerity can make a girl feel very alone, no matter how fabulous the weather or how cute the clothes at the South Coast Plaza mall. With very different styles and attitudes, Marcella, Olivia, and Alexis are trying to crack the code in L.A, trying to snare love and success. But first they have to come together—to make their marks and plan the fun they're going to have along the way. Marcella is a hot, sharp young television actress who's barely able to enjoy the life she's bought for herself and certainly isn't enjoying her body, which is never quite perfect enough. Olivia, whose life revolves around her toddler son, Jack, is tethered to her suburban mommy track so tightly she can almost forget the horrible thing that happened to her family when she was a child herself. Alexis is a musicians' manager with a smart mouth, an ample body, and loads of style but barely enough self-esteem to fill a Prada card case. And the boys in their lives? Marcella's had about enough of them throwing themselves at her; Olivia's boy is her son; and Alexis is still searching, not for a boy this time, but for a man. Playing with Boys is a savvy novel with charm, style, and heart to spare.

Publishers Weekly Review
Three very different Latina women vow to bring Los Angeles to its collective knees in this funny, guilty pleasure of a novel, which bears some resemblance to its author's previous hit, The Dirty Girls Social Club. Dallas-born talent agent Alexis Lopez is trying to break her fellow Meximericans, a band called Los Chimpances del Norte, into the big-time spotlight, but she's also looking for new blood. Enter Marcella Gauthier Bosch, a half-French bad-girl actress, once a star of Spanish-language soap operas and now aching for a mainstream movie career that doesn't involve being cast as a maid or a hooker. All she needs is a serious, Latina-focused script-and that's where Olivia Reyes comes in. The shy, dowdy stay-at-home mom is still traumatized by the memory of seeing her father gunned down by Salvadoran soldiers. But she also has a serious, autobiographical screenplay, and Alexis convinces her to let Alexis show it around-with the idea that Marcella will be perfect as Soledad, Olivia's mother. Complications abound, of course-there's Olivia's cheating husband, Marcella's disdain for men in general and a Cuban rap star who seems determined to break Alexis's heart-but so do the laughs. There's Alexis's middle-aged white ex-boyfriend who thinks he's a teenage gangsta, Marcella's latent-goth suitor and the good ol' hard-drinking, beer-gutted, coke-addled Mexican boys of Los Chimpances del Norte. While the action is slow and the novel repetitive in places-Alexis turns whining about her small breasts into an art form-this is a funny, heartfelt piece of escapism, Latina-style. Agent, Leslie Daniels.

The Sims 3 Buzz

So I know many of you are not big gaming fans, especially not PC gaming, but I have to tell you that The Sims 3 is going to look amazing. I am definitely a hardcore fan, even though I never bought the Life Stories series, but don't hold that against me. I have all the original The Sims games and I have all of The Sims 2 games. So anyway, I have already pre-ordered my copy and I can't wait till February 2009 to get it. The website has many interesting development videos and it's looking more realistic each time I go back to see what they have posted.

So, even though you may not be a big video game player, you can still appreciate the work they have put into this game. Check the evolution of The Sims have undergone.

Hope you guys enjoyed the evolution of The Sims. I think the advancement is going to be phenomenal as the years go by. How exciting!!!!

Another Joke

INSTALLING A HUSBAND

Dear Tech Support, Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as · Romance 9.5 and · Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as · NBA 5.0, · NFL 3.0 and · Golf Clubs 4.1.Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.· Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail. What can I do? Signed, Desperate.

DEAR DESPERATE, First, keep in mind, · Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while · Husband 1.0 is an operating system. Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.HTML and try to download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. · If that application works as designe d, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5. However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1. **** Please note that Beer 6. 1 is a very bad program that will download the Gas and Snoring Loudly Beta. Whatever you do, DO NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.) In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0-program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly.

Best Wishes Babe! Tech Support

A Dedication to Princess (aka Gorda)

Last night was a horrible night for my husband and I. We had to make a decision whether we should put our most thoughtful and loving companion to sleep or to try to help her survive. We decided that she had been through enough and that she should rest. So I wanted to dedicate this entry to our dog Princess.

Gordie, we will miss you always. We know that you are in a better place now and we want you to know that we will remember you always. We Love You Gorda. Muah!!!!

A day at the beach...

So, I wanted to share with you guys what it's like to go to the beach in Fort Pierce.

About two weeks ago my husband and I went to the beach on a Monday, since we both got that day off, and as soon as we stepped onto the sand from the parking lot, we noticed that we pretty much had the beach to ourselves. It was amazing. A while later we saw some people bring their horses out and they started dragging them into the ocean. At first I thought it was mean, since the currents were pretty strong, but then I found it interesting. It was pretty amazing how at first they were freaking out, but then they calmed down and really started to enjoy it. Not much else was going on, so it was nice to see that.

This past weekend we went again and there must have been less than 30 people there. Truly, I do enjoy going to the beach there and I can't wait to go back. I really want to move there already! Oh well.

Book Review: Undead and Unworthy by MaryJanice Davidson

Sometime in the past 2 weeks I finished reading Undead and Unworthy, the seventh book from the Queen Betsy Series written by MaryJanice Davidson. This book was a bit different from the last few books. It seems that Betsy is kicking a little more ass and she is changing along with it. Davidson has also killed off some characters, which to me was a disappointment, but I guess better things are yet to come. So until I find out more about where this series is going, I would say this is a good book and you should check it out.

Please read the following synopsis for the book:
Having recently lost her dad and step-mother, Betsy Sinclair (nee Taylor) is adjusting to rather more than just married life. Their untimely deaths have left her and Sinclair as sole guardians of her little brother, Jon. Two vampire parents - albeit vampire royalty - for a decidedly human baby. But then the ghost of Betsy's step-mother turns up at their house. And as stubborn and insufferable as she was in life, she's even more annoying in death...

Not sure what her next book is, but I will have to wait patiently until it comes out. If you want a list of her books, go here http://www.amazon.com/gp/series/92826/ref=pd_serl_books?ie=UTF8&edition=paperback. If you want to know more about the author, check out her website here http://www.maryjanicedavidson.net/. Until the next book...

I know, I know...

I know I've been slacking lately, please forgive me. I will be writing a new post in about 5 minutes. Here we go...

Thought you guys could use a laugh...

A co-worker of mine sent this joke to me yesterday and I just found it super funny. So here it is...

The Sensitive Man

A woman meets a man in a bar.
They talk; they connect; they end up leaving together. They get back to his place, and as he shows her around his apartment. She notices that one wall of his bedroom is completely filled with soft, sweet, cuddly teddy bears. There are three shelves in the bedroom, with hundreds and hundreds of cute, cuddly teddy bears carefully placed in rows, covering the entire wall! It was obvious that he had taken quite some time to lovingly arrange them and she was immediately touched by the amount of thought he had put into organizing the display. There were small bears all along the bottom shelf,
medium-sized bears covering the length of the middle shelf, and huge, enormous bears running all the way along the top shelf. She found it strange for an obviously masculine guy to have such a large collection of Teddy Bears, She is quite impressed by his sensitive side, but doesn't mention this to him. They share a bottle of wine and continue talking and, after awhile, she finds herself thinking,
'Oh my God! Maybe, this guy could be the one! Maybe he could be the future father of my children?' She turns to him and kisses him lightly on the lips. He responds warmly. They continue to kiss, the passion builds, and he romantically lifts her in his arms and carries her into his bedroom where they rip off each other's clothes and make hot, steamy love. She is so overwhelmed that she responds with more passion, more creativity, more heat than she has ever known.
After an intense, explosive night of raw passion with this sensitive guy, they are lying there together in the afterglow. The woman rolls over, gently strokes his chest and asks coyly, 'Well, how was it?'
The guy gently smiles at her, strokes her cheek, looks deeply into her eyes, and says:

'Help yourself to any prize from the middle shelf'

Happy 4th of July!!!

Just wanted to wish you all a fun and safe July 4th weekend.

Movie Review: The Rocker

This Tuesday, I was able to get into the premiere of The Rocker. Let me tell you that this movie is hilarious. Of course anything that include Dwight Shrute as a lead is very funny. No, he doesn't play The Office character, he is "The Rocker". The storyline goes as follows, Rainn Wilson, aka Fish in the movie, was in a band called Vesuvius. They kick him out and 20 years later he helps out his nephew by taking the drummer position. Obviously this sounds like a typical go getter movie, and it may be, but I still think this movie is worth watching.

One cool thing about going to the premiere was that Teddy Geiger, aka Curtis in the movie, made an appearance at the theater. He actually has a band of his own and was performing at The Culture Room in Ft. Lauderdale last night. I did take pictures with my camera phone but I still have to figure out how to use bluetooth with my laptop. They weren't that great anyway, but I'll continue working on how to use it.

The movie will be in theaters on July 30, so go check it out.

Movie Review: The Wackness

So, lucky me that I found a site that allows me to go see movie screenings for free. Yesterday was my first experience with the site and it went very well.

Now, let's talk about this movie The Wackness. The promotional type was word of mouth, so I'm just helping it along. I can honestly say that it was a great movie. Very original and raw. It was actually very funny and I found myself laughing on a large part of the movie. It had a strong storyline, the actors chosen fit their character and it had a quirkiness that I thoroughly enjoyed. I was really surprised with Olivia Thirlby, she plays the step-daughter, and her very natural and believable acting. I hope she comes out in more movies because she was really great. Ben Kingsley was hilarious in this and his character was definitely my favorite.

Personally, I didn't really relate with a huge part of the movie, but at the same time I did. It brings back a lot of memories from the 90's though. Some actors they failed to mention below are Method Man, Mary-Kate Olsen and Famke Janssen.

Bottom Line, I say go see The Wackness. You won't be disappointed.

A few movie reviews...

Since I've been feeling icky sick these last few days, all I've been doing is watch movies on HBO OnDemand. So, here are a few movies with short reviews that I have seen.

Knocked Up - I really enjoyed this movie. It made me want a kid for a whole hour, but then it came to the labor scene and that totally killed it for me. So, no kids for me for now. The movie was funny and I do recommend it.

Evan Almighty - I thought this movie was good. It wasn't great, but I think it's a good family movie. It didn't have any graphic scenes and it had a pleasant ending.

Ocean's 13 - All the men were sexy in their own ways. Totally dig the whole Vegas scene, especially when you spice it up with an interesting payback. I think it was a good addition to the other two movies.

Surf's Up - This movie was so cute. It was supposed to be like a documentary, or like they call it in the movie, a mockumentry. So cute!

Black Snake Moan - Weird, but interesting. I got to see Cristina Ricci's boobs a whole lot more than I would have liked to, but overall it was a pretty good movie. I'm glad I didn't pay to see it in the movies though.

Until the next review...

I know this is a bit old, but it doesn't make it any less funny!

I know most of you have seen this clip of Bill O'Reilly when he was on Inside Edition and he flips out, but it doesn't make it any less funny. I listen to Y100 every morning and they always play a sound clip of this, which is, "We'll do it live. Don't write it and we'll do it live." Awesome!

Thanks to the F-Bomb that was said by Sue Summers on NY's Channel 4 news, this clip was released for all of us to enjoy.

I just love the media...don't you?

Lately, I am obsessed with The Holiday. There is just something about this movie that I am attracted to. I don't know if it might be that Jude Law looks totally hot in this movie, of it's just that it's such a cute movie. Ladies, I suggest you pick this movie up and watch it with your guy. Guys, watch this movie with your lady 'cause you just might get lucky right after watching it. She will be mush in your arms (ha, ha).

Go get this movie or rent it or watch it on Encore. They have been playing it repeatedly. Go watch it!

Book Review: Undead and Uneasy by MaryJanice Davidson

Last week I finished reading Undead and Uneasy, the sixth book from the Queen Betsy Series written by MaryJanice Davidson. Very cool things happened in this book. Betsy totally kicked ass and I think this book was excellent and creative. I think all the other books were leading to a very cool, fresh and imaginative book, such as this one. If you've been following the series, then you will not be disappointed with this one. Definitely pick this one up.

Please read the following synopsis for the book:
In the days leading up the The Big Day, Vampire Queen Betsy Taylor seems to have a full house - and the wedding guests have yet to arrive. Along with her human buddies, there's a ghost, a werewolf, and a Fiend crashing at her place. And though her fiancé, Vampire King Eric Sinclair, conveniently disappears when the conversation turns to seating charts and flower arrangements, he does manage to make his oh-so-sexy presence known at other moments.
Betsy knows the next few weeks won't be smooth sailing - but she never expects just what's in store for her. Cold feet are no surprise, especially with an undead groom. But when Sinclair truly goes missing - and not just to avoid wedding preparations - along with most of her friends and loved ones, Betsy is frantic. Alone and afraid for the fate of everyone she loves, Betsy can't trust anyone as she tries to find them and whoever is behind all the disappearances.(http://www.lovevampires.com/mjduneasy.html)

Next in the series is Undead and Unworthy, and it will be coming out very soon. If you want a list of her books, go here http://www.amazon.com/gp/series/92826/ref=pd_serl_books?ie=UTF8&edition=paperback. Movie Review: Sex and the City

Last week, I went out with one of my best friends and we had a girls night. We went to eat at yummy Sweet Tomatoes (if you've never been there, please make time to go there one day) and then went to go see Sex in the City. Let me tell you, I thought I wasn't going to be able to follow the movie, since I never saw the series, but I totally understood what was happening from the very beginning and I really enjoyed it. It was a very feel good movie and it made me appreciate the friends I have so much more. Therefore, I must say that you will not be disappointed if you do go; and make sure you take a few friends. Guys, if you're getting dragged into seeing the movie, let me tell you that there is something even for you. Let's just say some scenes are hot and heavy.

I give this move an A+...go see it!

Quick Note: I have seen maybe two or three episodes of Sex and the City, so even if you are not a fan, I wanted you to know that I am reviewing the movie as a I would any movie.

Tagline: Get Carried Away.
Plot: After moving in together in an impossibly beautiful New York apartment, Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big make a rather arbitrary decision to get married. The wedding itself proves to be anything but a hasty affair--the guest list quickly blooms from 75 to 200 guests, and Carrie's simple, label-less wedding gown gives way to an enormous creation that makes her look like a gigantic cream puff. An upcoming photo spread in Vogue puts the event--which will take place at the New York Public Library--squarely in the public eye. Meanwhile, Carrie's girlfriends--Samantha, the sexpot; Charlotte, the sweet naïf; and Miranda, the rigid perfectionist--could not be happier. At least, they couldn't be happier for Carrie. Charlotte still has the unrealized hope of getting pregnant. Samantha is finding a loving, committed relationship more grueling than she could have imagined. Miranda unwittingly lets her own unhappiness--created when Steve admits to cheating on her just once--spoil Carrie's. After a heated encounter with Steve, she happens to spot Mr. Big and tells him he's crazy to get married. She's really only thinking of her own marriage. But her angry remark gets Mr. Big to thinking. Written by J. Spurlin

50th Post!!!! Oh, how time passes!

WOW...I can't believe this is already the 50th post. It feels like just yesterday I started writing again. So, I wanted to give a summary of everything that's been going on since I started writing that I haven't kept you up-to-date with. So here we go!

1. David Cook won American Idol. (So happy he won!)

2. Kristi Yamaguchi won Dancing With the Stars. (Not a shocker)

3. House's finale episodes were amazing! If you haven't seen them, you have to check them out. Thanks to my good friend, the pompomist, who introduced me to http://www.hulu.com/, I now know where I can catch up on any series.

4. They are bringing back some great shows in the fall (Private Practice, Dirty Sexy Money, and many more that I can't think of right now).

5. Most of the finale's I saw were really great and entertaining. Since there are so many I just wanted you to know that most of them were great. :)

Ok...that was TV. Now for Books...

1. As you have seen in previous posts, I have read almost all the books from the Queen Betsy Series written by MaryJanice Davidson. So far that has been the only series I have read since I started writing, so there will be future ones for other books.

As far as Movies go...

1. I think I've only reviewed 2 movies, so I'm not going to go into specifics right now. Once I start to see movies again, I will be sure to keep you updated. I am actually going to be writing one soon.

For the Gaming world...

1. I have told you that The Sims 3 is coming out, hopefully next year.

2. I totally forgot to mention that we bought the new GTA. Totally cool and fun as most of the others.

3. I'm still rocking on Rock Band. I am actually purchasing the one for the Wii, which will be coming out later this month.

Work, Work, Work...

1. We still have the nastiest critters there. Still have termites, roaches and all the other nasty bugs.

How about a little fun...

1. I did have a few jokes on there too. Hope you guys enjoyed them.

So far there I hope there have been a good amount of topics. I hope you guys will give me some feedback as to what you think. I hope these past posts have been entertaining and fun. Of course I will continue bringing you everything I have written about and hopefully much more.

Book Review: Undead and Unpopular by MaryJanice Davidson

Last weekend I finished reading Undead and Unpopular, the fifth book from the Queen Betsy Series written by MaryJanice Davidson. This book was easy reading and was extremely entertaining. It wasn't as complicated as most of Davidson's other Undead books from the series. Although, I thought she would finally have Betsy and Sinclair married in this book, Davidson dragged it again into the next one, but it's a good thing I bought the whole series at the time I did. I don't think I could have waited until the next book was written, so it's great that I didn't find out about the series until later on when finally she does get them married. So, overall, I think this is a good addition. It still has the quirkiness that Davidson does such a good job at. I say, pick this one up, especially if you've already started reading the series.

Please read the following synopsis for the book:

Betsy Taylor, Vampire Queen, already has plenty on her plate. For one thing, next week is her birthday-the big 3-1 in human years, and one in undead years. (Yes, she bit the dust on her birthday last year.) On top of that, she still has wedding plans to finalize-and it's not helping that the prospective groom is avoiding anything to do with it. And then there's her decision to stop drinking blood-something she has yet to share with Eric Sinclair, her fiancé-who also happens to be the vampire king... So the last thing she wants to deal with is uninvited guests, even if they happen to be the powerful European vampires who have finally come to pay their respects the week before her birthday. Some of them don't want Betsy as their Queen, and will do anything to get rid of her. As if turning thirty last year (not to mention dying) hadn't been traumatic enough. And trying to give up blood is making her really cranky...But who has time to sulk? Well, Betsy does...in the latest novel in the New York Times bestselling series Christine Feehan calls "delightful, wicked fun."(http://www.lovereading.co.uk/book/2025/Undead-and-Unpopular-by-Mary-Janice-Davidson.html)

Next in the series is Undead and Uneasy, and I have already started reading it. Let me tell you that I am not disappointed so far. We'll see as it progresses.

DVD Movie Review: National Treasure 2 - Book of Secrets

On Monday, my dad and I saw National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets. The funny thing is I didn't think I was going to enjoy it, but I actually did. I was laughing throughout the whole movie and it really caught my full attention. My favorite character is Riley (the comic relief). I wish I would have seen it on the big screen, but overall I enjoyed it. I wish it would have been longer, but for sure we are getting another movie and I think it's going to be very clever.

Following is some information for the movie (imdb.com):

Plot:
While Ben is presenting new information about John Wilkes Booth and the 18 pages missing from Booth's diary, one man stands up and presents a missing page of John Wilkes Booth's diary. Thomas Gates, Ben's great-grandfather, is mentioned in the page. It shows that Ben's great-grandfather could have been involved with Abraham Lincoln's murder. When doing more research, the conspiracy takes Ben, Abigail, and Riley to Buckingham Palace (which they break into). It takes them to a book in the White House (which they break into also) and they even steal a page from the book. But in order to see more from the book, their choice is either get elected president or kidnap the President of the United States. Which do they choose? It's obvious. The conspiracy then crosses to Mount Rushmore and they even mention the JFK conspiracy. Can Ben clear his family's name? Or will his family be linked to the murder of Abraham Lincoln?
