50th Post!!!! Oh, how time passes!

WOW...I can't believe this is already the 50th post. It feels like just yesterday I started writing again. So, I wanted to give a summary of everything that's been going on since I started writing that I haven't kept you up-to-date with. So here we go!

1. David Cook won American Idol. (So happy he won!)

2. Kristi Yamaguchi won Dancing With the Stars. (Not a shocker)

3. House's finale episodes were amazing! If you haven't seen them, you have to check them out. Thanks to my good friend, the pompomist, who introduced me to http://www.hulu.com/, I now know where I can catch up on any series.

4. They are bringing back some great shows in the fall (Private Practice, Dirty Sexy Money, and many more that I can't think of right now).

5. Most of the finale's I saw were really great and entertaining. Since there are so many I just wanted you to know that most of them were great. :)

Ok...that was TV. Now for Books...

1. As you have seen in previous posts, I have read almost all the books from the Queen Betsy Series written by MaryJanice Davidson. So far that has been the only series I have read since I started writing, so there will be future ones for other books.

As far as Movies go...

1. I think I've only reviewed 2 movies, so I'm not going to go into specifics right now. Once I start to see movies again, I will be sure to keep you updated. I am actually going to be writing one soon.

For the Gaming world...

1. I have told you that The Sims 3 is coming out, hopefully next year.

2. I totally forgot to mention that we bought the new GTA. Totally cool and fun as most of the others.

3. I'm still rocking on Rock Band. I am actually purchasing the one for the Wii, which will be coming out later this month.

Work, Work, Work...

1. We still have the nastiest critters there. Still have termites, roaches and all the other nasty bugs.

How about a little fun...

1. I did have a few jokes on there too. Hope you guys enjoyed them.

So far there I hope there have been a good amount of topics. I hope you guys will give me some feedback as to what you think. I hope these past posts have been entertaining and fun. Of course I will continue bringing you everything I have written about and hopefully much more.

What we have at work...

Everyday at work I always have some interesting critter nearby. Most recently it is the roach in the lights above me (see picture below). Not to mention the termite wings that land on my desk every once in a while. It is disgusting. Well...we also have the men's room full of dead roaches. Ewww! Let's not even mention the screeching from the machines in the shop and the consistency of people coming in and out from the door next to my desk. Ahhh...Frustrating. Just wanted to share the work horrors!

In the men's room at work!

Right above my desk!!!

I've abandoned you guys...

I know I have totally abandoned you, my readers. It's been an interesting few days. Let me share with you everything that has been going on.

For the bad stuff first:
1. Some people in my job feel as if I'm supposed to know everything about everyone at every time. Apparently, I'm supposed to know if the PM's go to the bathroom and blow a nice big fart. Let me just put a chip on all of them so that I may find them at every moment of the day. Not only am I supposed to know where the PM's are, but I'm also supposed to know every last PO that has been done with 5 different jobs. W/E!!! Give me a freakin break and get off my case. OK...I feel so much better.

2. So we were looking at the survey for our home because we want to put a fence up and we realized that the person who sold us our home totally misled us. When we were going to buy the house they told us that our backyard went all the way to the "common area", but in reality its only ten feet from the patio. Totally not cool! So, we are now in the process of taking care of that.

Now for some other funny random things:
1. This weekend we went to a little baby's 1st birthday party. It was a lot of fun except for one small annoyance. The dreaded balloon with the little music inside of it. Unfortunately it had to be a windy day and the freakin thing kept going off every second! I even started singing Happy Birthday to the beat the balloon had. Toward the end it started running out of battery, but then the thing sounded scary as hell. Oh well, overall we had a great time.

2. I've totally been rocking out on the Rock Band drums. I'm getting better every day! Totally loving it. About two weeks or so ago two friends of mine came over and were playing. One of them was totally missing the beat and it didn't help when we could hardly breathe from all the laughing. It was so funny! I wish I had video taped it.

So I guess that's it for now. I will hopefully write more tomorrow.

Workplace prank

A friend of mine sent me this video and I thought it was hilarious. I hope no one ever tries this on me. Ha, ha!

A day at the Job site...

If you've seen my profile, then you know that I am a Project Assistant for a curtainwall company. Currently, one of our projects is in Sunny Isles Beach, FL. So today I wanted to share what it is I go through in order to get to our office in the morning. Here are a couple of pictures of the obstacles before getting to the stairs. First you go on the ramp, then you step on a wobbly concrete block to another wood plank, then you hop on the floor to get to the stairs. Very safe!

That's the worst part of getting in there, but it's all worthwhile when you see the beautiful structure of such a gorgeous building. The beautiful structure I am speaking of is called Jade Ocean. She has 51 floors (not including the Crown), the different colors of the lites are blue and gray and she is worth a lot of $$$. think of it this way...each unit is worth a million and up. I am honored to be a part of such a great project. Here are a few recent pictures of her.

Here are some pictures of the steel at 51st. These pictures are so beautiful that the steel just blends in with the scenery. I hope you guys enjoy them.

Ever since I started in here, I've learned to appreciate construction so much more. It's very interesting and beautiful. Since this was my first experience on a job site and my first project, I will always treasure it.
